The Friends of the St. Croix USVI National Parks is a certified Virgin Islands 501(c)(3) Nonprofit corporation. We were officially established in March of 2016.

Our mission is to increase public awareness and appreciation of the National Parks on St. Croix through education, community outreach and civic engagement, while supporting and helping to preserve the parks’ historic significance, and their cultural and natural resources.

We organize the monthly lectures presented at the Danish West India and Guinea Company Warehouse on the second Thursday of each month unless otherwise announced. The topics vary from park research and conservation to subjects of cultural and community interest. We record most of our presentations and post them on our YouTube channel here: Friends of the St. Croix Parks on YouTube

We publish a monthly email newsletter which highlights current park projects and achievements. You can sign up for our mailings by entering your name and contact information on the sidebar on our website.

We accept donations on behalf of the parks. The National Park Service cannot accept direct private donations so the operating agreement between Friends Group and the NPS allows us to accept donations on the park’s behalf. We direct the donations we receive to the park programs donors specify, or to the needs that park managers identify. Our operating expenses are very low. We have no staff or office expenses. We pass along more than 90% of donations directly to the park.
