On Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 10 AM:

SEDI will unveil and introduce on the new development site for the AHCHM in downtown Christiansted, across from the National Park Service (NPS) Christiansted Fort during a press conference.

St. Croix Economic Development Initiative (SEDI) announces the new development site to build the Alexander Hamilton & Caribbean history museum (AHCHM). The new selected site is located at plot no. 28 Hospital Street and no. 1 church street, Christiansted St. Croix, us Virgin Islands 00820. SEDI is proposing and planning to build a world-class museum that will help to educate, celebrate and promote the rich history of the virgin, islands, Caribbean region, and an American founding father from the Caribbean.

March 30, 2017 : A Grand Centennial Concert

Featuring the Copenhagen Brass Ensemble, Ay Ay Dancers, Quadrille Dancers, Guardians of Culture Moko Jumbies, Kev’s Pan Vibes, and more, presented by Ten Sleepless Knights, Danish-Virgin Islands Cultural Exchange Program, and Doc Peterson Foundation. March 31, 2017 (Transfer Day)

8-10:00am : Centennial Military Parade

10:00am-12:00pm : Transfer Day Ceremony on the lawn at the Christiansted National Historic Site. (Christiansted)

12:30-1:30pm : Observation of new exhibits in the fort:

Visionary Reflections: St. Croix at the Centennial Crossroads on display in the Artillery Shed, and

Chaney, Stories from Migrant Fragments on display upstairs in the Commandant’s quarters, as well as High School Exhibits inside Fort.

1:30-2:30pm: Ghana Tribe Sackey Clan speech/presentation.

Opening Remarks by Park Superintendent Joel Tutein and NPS Southeastern Regional Director Stan Austin. Mr. Myron Allick Sackey and another Tribal Chief’s Speech on Ancestry and Fort History.

3:30-4:30pm: Ms. Fahie’s Time Capsule and presentation from St. Croix Educational Complex and St. Croix Central High School Students.

5:30-7:30pm Centennial Jazz In The Park

With the Community Music Band and featuring New York vocalist Melinda DeRocker, Sponsored by Community Music Inc, and the Friends of the St. Croix National Parks. Fort Christiansvaern Bandstand

5:00pm- CRRA Christiansted Block Party Featuring live music by the Copenhagen Brass Ensemble.

7:30pm – Fireworks provided by St. Croix Christmas Boat Parade, Inc. will light up the night following an informal boat procession of flags in Christiansted Harbor. (Christiansted)
