Fires, Drinking, Smoking, and Building
On Thursday 20 October, 2016 David Hayes will present a short talk with artifacts on the recent finds on Company Street, Christiansted. This will be at noon in the Luncheria courtyard, #6 Company Street. He has been monitoring the excavations for the new potable water line from Sunday Market eastward to Church Street.
Lots of artifacts from 18th century bottles and Moravian pottery to early twenty century pottery have been found. Several historic structures are also buried under the pavement.
This is a free presentation of the St. Croix Archaeological Society.
