CHRISTIANSTED, St. Croix, USVI – The Historic Preservation Commission exists to protect and preserve the cultural resources in our historic districts. V.I. Code defines the requirements to restore, rehabilitate and renovate these historic structures. Come out, on Thursday, August 11, and learn what, how, and why these requirements exist for these important structures throughout the Territory.
Gerville Larsen, A.I.A, is Principal and Owner of TALLER LARJAS, LLC, Architecture & Design. A 6th-generation Crucian, he has a Degree in Architecture from Cornell University, is a member of the St. Croix Historic Preservation Commission, and is Vice President of the Transfer Day Commission.
The lecture will be held from 5:30-6:30 PM in the Danish West India Guinea Company Warehouse / Old Post Office Building. The Christiansted National Historic Site parking lot will be open for this event until 7PM.
Please note that a meeting of The Friends of the St. Croix USVI National Parks will meet from 4:30-5:30 PM just before the lecture in the same location.
